The "interesting" fraud I met

Two days ago, I walked on 34th street and 7th AVE.

Suddenly one guy bumped on me and his glasses was dropped on the ground.

Then he picked up his glasses and showed me that a slide of his glasses was cracked.

You know what happened then, he asked me to pay him some money.

I told him I'm very sorry but I'm also really a poor student, he said so is him.

Then, I also dropped my glasses on the ground and said,
"See, mine is fine. Maybe you stepped on that after we bumped together "

"But yours is made by plastic and mine is by glass, That's why mine is broken, and that is very expansive. ", he said.

"But I'm really poor.. I really don't have money.... so...... how about paying you a lunch for my sorry?", I said.

The guy seemed finding that it's not easy to let me take my money out.

So he gave up and gave me a hug and said, "That's OK, Thank you very much!", and left politely.

After that I told my classmate what happened, and my classmate said, "Don't you know him? He is very famous around here!"

That is, that guy is a professional fraud!


I think why he didn't insist on asking me give him money is that even though I knew he might deceive me, I still showed my sorry and sincerity to him instead of anger and discrimination.

It's an incident or a surprise? who knows?

But what I can sure is that it was really a very impressive experience for me!

Yesterday I surfed on internet to see one of my favorite web -- Oikos living web.
It's a forum for the fans of Mac in Taiwan.
A new member called sector40 is from England.
He have just been in Taiwan to learn Chinese for 11 months.
But he can write Chinese very well !

在地鐵禮
我在同步化我iphone和itune的音樂
旁邊一位老先生拿出他的手機
問我他手跡裡面的照片可不可以也這樣傳到電腦裡
我們就這樣聊了起來
原來照片裡面是他的弟弟
兩週前才過世
原本普通的一張照片
成了少數僅存的回憶
我教他使用cable或者使用網路傳輸
雖然是簡單的一個動作
我卻覺得我做了一件有意義的事
後來我們又天南地北的聊
聊科技
聊對人的影響
聊現實社會中科技對人的好處和壞處
我們兩個彼此都學到一些東習和價值
就在這短短的一段地鐵路上
